Twenty five is relatively young, but when it comes to Indochine, the restaurant has more than a few stories to tell given their quarter of a century birthday. On Friday night, fashion insiders donned their best Shanghai 1920s attire to celebrate the anniversary, and the new book.
If there’s a second book in the works, this party will certainly make the pages. For seven hours, guests partied while barely half-dressed dancers entertained. While getting past the front door was an issue—since no one wanted to leave—but once inside the festivities raged. Padma Lakshmi showed off her baby bump, dancing up a storm in the middle of the room, while Iman showed off her Roaring Twenties style in the most elegant fur stole, paired with black harem pants that reminded us of Heidi Klum. Among the banana and palm fronds, we spotted Poppy Delevigne, Lily Donaldson, and Caroline Winberg and Lily Aldridge still celebrating their Victoria’s Secret moment, not to mention Zac Posen, Sante D’Orazio, the Toledos, Anna Sui, Catherine Malandrino, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld holding court in the hostess area, Terry Richardson, Francisco Costa, and Roxanne Lowit, snapping away.
