When it comes to fashion week we keep an eye on fashion both on and off the runway. Here are three simple things we’ve learned from studying model street style…
- Tailoring is Key - We’re always dumbfounded by how models can make even the most drab basics look chic. Take Lara Stone’s simple shift and tailored jacket combo as an example; it isn’t a difficult look to create but the immaculate tailoring makes the outfit.
- Keep it Simple – Models are always able to effortlessly wear the looks we deem unwearable on the runway. The trick is to keep accessories to a minimum. Naomi Campbell pulls off a red velvet tuxedo with only the addition of a cocktail ring.
- Chic Tech – Ever noticed that no model is ever photographed with cheap, hot pink airport earbuds on? If you are going to be chained to your smart phone or walk around with headphones on make sure that they are as stylish as you are! (We like to think Jourdan Dunn coordinated those Beats headphones with the pattern on her sweater)
