Oktoberfest is still a while away, as is our celebration of the models who have made it big from Germany, but Vogue Deutsch is celebrating their 30th anniversary in a very appropriate way for the month. The magazine has commissioned guest editor assistance from a few iconic photographers who’s roots are planted in Germany: Karl Lagerfeld, Bruce Weber, and Peter Lindbergh.
The three editions will amount to a total of 732 pages, which means a massive opportunity for countless model pages—especially given the theme. So far Karl chose to use Edita Vilkeviciute impersonating Anita Berber, Claudia Schiffer is taking on the look of Rosemarie Nitribitt, and, of course, Heidi Klum makes an appearance. Plus, from these preview shots we know that Freja Beha Erichsen and Nadja Auermann will grace the issue as well. It’s safe to say this list is really only the beginning.
