3.1 Phillip Lim Leads a Distinguished Disco-Punk Revolt

© FirstView

Just as we said, Irina Lazareanu popped up front row at her good friend Phillip Lim’s show, dressed in a sparkly blazer paired with simple black leggings. Upon reading the show notes—”between Disco and Punk lives a woman boiling with youthful revolt but distinguished by unexpectedly classic style”—we couldn’t think of anyone, or any better outfit, to showcase Phillip’s intentions.

While watching the show full of high-waisted pants, asymmetrical dresses, and sparkle galore paired with this season’s color of choice—purple—we peered across the runway to Irina and caught a few telling glimpses on her face.

When Shu Pei Qin walked out in her double-face wool wedge black coat and cream dress, Irina’s jaw dropped and she whispered to her seat mate, “Oh, I love that!” And she could hardly keep her feelings for the collection to herself, specifically pointing out Look 22 on Abbey Lee Kershaw, and leading the applause at the end.

We’re sure Phillip will generously adorn you in 3.1 designs, Irina. ~ Bianca Posterli
