A Bevy of January Covers and Lots of Liya

If you’re ankle deep in snow and looking to warm that frostbitten face, Russh has the cure for what ails you. For No. 32, the magazine is serving up a sizzling double cover shot by Benny Horne: One will feature Erin Heatherton, and much buzzed about newcomer Jacquelyn Jablonski will grace cover No. 2. We’re curious as to how bare arms, damp hair, and skintight suits fare in freezing winter weather, but then again fashion is all about escapism.

Sasha Pivovarova gives us a little bit more of that otherworldliness on the cover of Vogue Korea in those insane Nina Ricci shoes. Craig McDean captured Sasha on the floor of the forest sporting a darker look with black locks, clad in a fedora, head wrap, a Gianfranco Ferré balloon skirt, and embellished tights. Ever the epitome of beautiful, we can’t help but think that just a shawl will keep her from freezing in the great outdoors…

On the other hand, the people over at Italian Elle understand perfectly the meaning of “bundling up.” For its January cover, Liya Kebede looks rather cozy in layer upon layer of couture. In her editorial, she whips around on roller skates in wrist pads, tutus, and dramatic piles of the season’s most beautiful eveningwear. Check out her gorgeous spreads below the fold. Again, escapism at its best. ~ Tim Mitchell
