Before Fashion Week starts and the city is overrun with fashion editors from all over the globe and street-style photographers angling for the perfect pic, allow Modelinia to suggest a bit of a culinary respite.
Head to the Meatpacking District and into Tanuki Tavern on 18 Ninth Avenue at 13th Street. Divided into two floors, the upstairs serves as a quieter sit-down dinner spot, while the downstairs boasts a sushi bar. Wall decor is big, bold, and in our opinion beautiful, which comes in secondary only to the delicious cuisine.
Brooklyn Decker’s a huge fan of the restaurant, so make sure you order her must-have dish: the sweet corn & white miso tempura cakes.
