A Historical Moment in McQueen

On a more somber note, the Fall 2010 collection which Lee Alexander McQueen was working on before his untimely death was displayed to editors today. It was, without a doubt, an emotional moment for all involved. Each model was accentuated with a gold Mohawk cap and displayed the 16-look collection which was described in the show notes in a breathtaking way - “Each piece is unique, as was he.” Frida Gustavsson Tweeted post-show, saying, “Feeling so blessed and honored to be a part of the Alexander McQueen presentation today, celebration of a true genius, so beautiful so sad.” Despite the no-picture rule, a few brave souls pulled out their camera phones in a moment of history.
