And now it’s time for a little bit of London news.
- While sadly Agyness Deyn decided not to walk this season, she was front row for BFF Henry Holland’s show, and watched as Chanel Iman opened, followed by Sessilee Lopez and Egle Tvirbutaite. Her precious tights with a little house print matched the runway looks, a.k.a. little houses, à la Anna Wintour. Get it?
- As reported, Lara Stone finally appeared on the catwalk for Jaeger London, opening the show in a monochromatic swimsuit and sweater with slicked-back hair and her perfect pout. New face Hannah Holman proved that she’s a girl to watch, Hanne Gaby Odiele strutted down the catwalk once, and the show closed with Lara.
- For the return of Burberry to London Fashion Week, Christopher Bailey brought his designs to not only those invited to show, but anyone with an Internet connection. Thanks to the powers of webcam, the show was streamed live to hundreds across the world, who engaged in an online chat ranging in topics from the chosen models, to the color scheme, and the ruched look of the designs. The girls on the runway (Lily Donaldson, Freja Beha Erichsen, Anna Selezneva, Tao Okamoto, Iekeliene Stange, Abbey Lee Kershaw) were only half of the show, as the front row included models such as Twiggy, Erin O’Connor, Daisy Lowe, and of course, Agyness. Tonight the party continues with tunes from Aggy and Alexa Chung.
