A lover of the early morning shows, Michael Kors is always one to rouse editors and models from their cozy beds in order to see just what brilliance the master created for the new season.
Modelinia met our on-air corespondent Coco Rocha mid-coffee behind the Tents before the first looks were sent out so she could interview the designer about his Fall 2010 collection. While our model turned journalist asked the hard questions, we strolled off to find the girls of the show.
Michael shares a Modelinia trait: his love for his models. And this year’s group was no exception as it included Angela Lindvall, Kasia Struss, Lindsay Ellingson, Anja Rubik, Magdalena Frackowiak, and a surprise appearance from Frankie Rayder. So among the crowd of journalists backstage, we found Jessica Miller relaxing and catching up with her news thanks to the New York Times and Hanne Gaby Odiele looking relaxed (she admitted that her secret is using a car service!). And though many aren’t a fan of the velvet trend that’s going on, the always on-trend Hanne certainly isn’t one of them: She says bring it on.
But when we caught up with Chanel Iman, she dumped out the contents of her purse to show us a gift from Michael, which he brought especially for her that morning: a Diana Ross DVD. “This is what I’m doing tonight,” she said. “Watching this and eating popcorn.” ~ Bianca Posterli
