One of the best shows of the season for model watching always goes to Rag & Bone, and this season was no different. Lily Aldridge may have been noticeably absent, since she had a prior Victoria’s Secret commitment, but the selection of runway stunners was far from lacking. We hung out backstage as Revlon’s Gucci Westman and Guido Paulo captured their magic in the form of smoldering eyes and loose, unkempt braids, while Mirte Maas, Britt Maren, Lindsey Wixson, Joan Smalls, and Sigrid Agren prepped for their Rag & Bone struts. A super fresh faced Kate K looked cool, calm, and collected, but admitted to Modelinia that this was her first show ever! She was clearly thrilled – as she should be - to be kicking off her runway career with such an esteemed show. A host of girls came fresh from the Jason Wu show, gold leaves in their hair and all, making hair stylists less than pleased with the extra step needed. Liu Wen rushed in and turned around with a sly smile to show off her gold accent, before she ran off to the back to wash it out.

After the run through, Modelinia spotted Erin Wasson holding court with her own video team, and she told us that she’s bringing her talents to the art of on camera hosting! “I’m doing a bit of coverage for MTV News,” she said, “so we’re going backstage at some of the shows. I’m going to interview the boys then I’m covering the Michael Kors show. It’s kind of weird because there are girls who are here that I did runway with and now I’m the girl backstage with the microphone.” She’ll pair her interviewing skills with dinner party hosting, as she’s planning a 40 person dinner for Zadig & Volatire on Valentine’s night in her apartment.

Erin’s love for the Rag & Bone boys was apparent as she talked about their creations and just why models adore walking for David Neville and Marcus Wainwright. “I think what they do is so cool, wearable, and so me. I’m stoked to be here and it’s always fun to be front row. It’s like a total out of body experience [after having done runway.] This is the kind of show that girls want to do so bad because the music’s really cool, the clothes are something you would wear. You look around at what the girls are wearing and [the collection] is more or less them.”

Joining Erin in the front row was fellow model Jessica Stam, who’s keeping her runway walks to a singular moment in New York. Marc Jacobs is taking the honor – but Stam has plans to sit front row for Chris Benz and Proenza Schouler. Look for her on the catwalk in Europe though… ~ Bianca Posterli
