Fashion editors and insiders aren’t the only ones sitting front row to take in all the runway action during Fashion Week. Models are guests of honor, too! Fresh off her Sports Illustrated promo tour, Modelinia heard that Julie Henderson would be making the rounds and we just had to get a model take on the shows and got Julie to guest blog for us!
After such an amazing presentation of clothes, it was time for Ruffian to have a good time. The Ruffian team decided to celebrate at infamous nightspot the Box. With the help of ARC New York the party was a blast. The evening started with champagne flowing and a small dinner for 60, including guests such as legendary lensmen Stewart Shining and Douglas Friedman, show opener Iris Strubegger with all her fellow model friends, hosts from mulitmedia production company Vision On, Francesca Hammerstein, and my two favorites and owners of ARC, Ryan Brown and Lorenzo Martone. We enjoyed a fabulous four-course meal and good conversation with friends and designers Brian Wolk and Claude Morais, Valentine Uhovski from The Daily and Amy Odell from the Cut. A short film by Vision On was screened of Iris modeling looks inside the Box for Flair Magazine.
The evening concluded with some very unique burlesque performances ranging from a beat-bopper from Paris to a woman pulling out a cell phone from some inappropriate area. The Box is known for having racy performances that I am not the biggest fan of, but I must say this performance is one I won’t ever forget. The party was a great success and I even had a chance to kick back with the likes of Scarlett Johansson and some of the boys from Kings of Leon at the end of the night. Très chic!
