On Wednesday, Iekeliene Stange hosted her exhibit opening at The Horse Hospital, and sent us pictures and details so we could share her evening with you. For everyone in London, the showing is open until Saturday, so head over!
It was a lovely evening! The exhibition was all about our ‘ UMFELD’ which means ‘ surroundings’ and so all the work featured our family, friends and other things dear to us in surreal surroundings. We had a good mixture of people out of the art world, fashion, friends, family. Lots of people from Holland came over, even a delegation of the Dutch embassy in London. We played lots of records with Dutch nursery songs and carousel music setting the mood and arranged the venue to look like a living room with props taken out of our own homes, little dolls, furniture and carousel horses. It was a great evening in the end and everybody had lots of tea and cakes! ~ Iekeliene
