A Pinch of Geometric and a Touch of Gold

Balenciaga knows what they like - and their new favorite is Miranda Kerr. After her surprising appearance last season, Miranda returned to the runway in a look which was much more her own.

Joining the Victoria’s Secret Angel was show opener Mirte MaasSiri TollerødEdita Vilkeviciute, Liya Kebede, Sasha PivovarovaRasa Zukauskaite, Jacquelyn Jablonski, Patricia van der Vliet (who closed) and Miranda’s fellow VS runway gal Liu Wen. Nicolas Ghesquière provided a collection full of geometric designs, playing with colors, textures and shapes. The shoes, however, will certainly be a favorite on the pages of magazine editorials.

Always a model favorite, Balmain brought Freja Beha Erichsen, Natasha Poly in a perfect white fur chubby jacket, Anja Rubik, and Anna Selezneva to stomp down the runway in bold shoulders, to the beat of “Let’s Go Crazy” by Prince. Take a pinch of the Versailles court, add in a touch of of rock ‘n’ roll, just a slight bit of baroque, then stir with gold, shiny, and shimmery elements, and you’ve got the Fall 2010 collection by Christophe Decarnin. We’re counting on the fact that more than a few of these girls were gifted with piece from the collection, meaning street style images are going to be very exciting soon!
