Always one to test the boundaries of conventional photo shoots, Steven Meisel gives Vogue Italia’s very first issue of 2010 an interesting spin. While last month it was all about celebrating the fashion world’s obsession with Twitter, this time he’s given Karlie Kloss the task which no model really wants to experience: Falling on the runway.
It’s an interesting way to look forward to the Fall 2010 shows, openly discussing the experience of taking a tumble rather than shying away from the topic. We think it looks a lot like our Model Mishaps slideshow, no?
On a more traditional note, Natalia Vodianova’s February 2010 cover for British Vogue, shot by Nick Knight, is finally out. If you remember, this image was previewed thanks to Nick’s penchant for streaming his work live online for the world to see, so we had a bit of a sneak peek.
And congratulations are in order for Mirte Mass, who’s gracing her first Vogue cover alongside Shu Pei for Chinese Vogue. So far it’s a teeny image to check out, but congrats nonetheless!
