It’s a small world in fashion. Elsa Schiaparelli was not only a huge fashion designer, but she also coined the color shocking pink, worked with the masterful artist Salvador Dali, and is the grandmother of model Marisa Berenson. Another celebrated designer, Azzedine Alaïa took it upon himself to create an exhibit of 40 vintage pieces by Elsa, which are set to be auctioned off on July 3 at Drouot-Richelieu in Paris. Even if you’re not in Paris, it will be an iconic moment in fashion to celebrate not only a wonderful designer, but also her memory and influence in fashion.
