Just like last season, Tom Ford created another hush-hush collection not to be photographed, tweeted, facebooked, tumblr’d, etc., until it hits stores in mid-January 2012. Only 55 editors were invited to the secret show held in London last Sunday where little notecards stating “No Photography Please” sat waiting for them on each of their chairs. As if Anna Wintour’s really going to be taking twitpics…
While rules were made clear at the front of the house, it seems that Ford should have made them known to his models backstage as well. Candice Swanepoel tweeted a photo of the model line up for the show, not realizing that photography was strictly prohibited. Although the photo was promptly removed from her twitter page, it still managed to make its way around the internet and into the inboxes of a number of gossip sites like Coco Perez. The picture is a bit blurry but we can still make out pieces of the collection (which looks amazing!), and the list of models who walked the super exclusive show. Anja Rubik, Fei Fei Sun, Carmen Kass, Mirte Maas, Joan Smalls, and Daphne Groeneveld are a few of the names we can make out but really this just makes us that much more excited for the collection’s release in January!
