Having the Olsens sit front row at a fashion show is as coveted by a designer as Gisele walking on the runway, so naturally when we spotted the fashionable twins seated at J.Mendel’s show yesterday, we knew to expect great things. Daria Werbowy lookalike Kati Nescher opened the show, introducing a series of winter white coats fit for Kate Moss, followed by a number of black and burgundy looks that will definitely be a hit in the Olsen twins’ closets.
Much like his A-list front row, designer Gilles Mendel’s runway was full of top-of-the-line runway strutters including Lindsey Wixson, Jacquelyn Jablonski, Ruby Aldridge, Arizona Muse, Kate King, and Alana Zimmer. Decked out in Mendel’s structured jacket and pleated chiffon gowns, each girl took hold of the runway giving power to a collection that was otherwise dainty and ethereal.
