A Study of Inès de la Fressange

Today let’s play: Supermodel History.

Because obviously you haven’t had enough of Modelinia’s History of Models series between the timeline, our video series, and Camilla Morton’s articles.

Inès de la Fressange is a name to know, in case you don’t already. While right now she’s a brand ambassador for shoe company Roger Vivier, she was once the muse to Karl Lagerfeld and the face of Chanel. She was a one-name wonder, known as Inès, like Gisele and Kate and even created her own clothing label.

After her work as a model, she had two children and was approached by Diego Della Valle to bring back the shoe brand to its former popularity. Which she did, all while raising her daughters Nine and Violette.

And though she hasn’t been on the runways consistently, she still makes appearances. Remember when she walked down Jean Paul Gaultier’s runway for the Spring ‘09 show? Supermodels never really lose their super.
