A Week of Model Tunes

It was a full week of model DJs. Monday started off well at the Cooper Hotel, with not only Alexa Chung spinning tunes, but Alexandra Richards joined in too. Though we were missing no-show Dree Hemingway, the night was still fun. Come Wednesday, it was Harley Viera Newton’s turn behind the tables as she guest DJ’d the Marie Claire-hosted Guess store opening.

She accessorized her look with hot green headphones and spent the night mixing songs like “Raspberry Beret” by Prince and “O.P.P.” by Naughty by Nature. Everyone was clearly loving it, as the Guess store was packed, and models like Selita Ebanks, Julie Henderson, Damaris Lewis, and Lydia Hearst among the crowd. Dressed in what she called her “Dorothy heels,” Selita shopped for a jean jacket, sadly leaving empty-handed. But never fear: The evening continued, as it was off to the Standard for drinks at an H&M party to revel in the summer weather with a great view of the High Line.
