There’s been quite a bit of gossip that Mr. Lagerfeld is making a big model switch-a-roo for his spring 2012 campaigns, and the latest rumor that London socialite and style icon Alice Dellal will be the brand’s new face is further evidence that changes are coming.
Though Alice’s signature punk look of fishnets and leather jackets aren’t a typical pick for Chanel, Lagerfeld has been known to choose unexpected models for his campaigns (remember Lily Allen was the face back in 2009). Whether Alice will be the face of Chanel beauty, handbags, or clothes is still up in the air, but we’re looking forward to seeing how she works her edgy look into the classic sophistication of the iconic brand.
