Ask a designer for their inspiration during Fashion Week and they’ll generally blurt out a variety of things. Naturally we’re pleased when at least one model’s name is jumbled in the mix.
But Alice Temperley is another case. For her brand-new line called Alice, the designer found inspiration in not one, but three models—each of whom tote their own cool factor and cult following. Georgia May Jagger, Alice Dellal, and Amber Le Bon all spurned the creative design of the new collection, which Miss Temperley describes as “all about the cool London girl of the moment.” If anyone fits that description, it’s certainly those three. “I picture a girl who listens to the Killers, Gorillaz, and the Cure—she likes to mix things up,” the designer told Marie Claire in the January 2010 issue. With Georgia’s win last night at the British Fashion Awards, Alice certainly chose the right trio.
