The Met Gala may compete with the Academy Awards for best red carpet, but the CFDA’s actually are the Oscars of fashion. All of the biggest names in the industry step out to support/see which designers will win awards including Womenswear Designer of the Year, Accessories Designer of the Year, Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent in Womenswear. Nominees included Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen for The Row, Marc Jacobs, Joseph Altuzarra, Tabitha Simmons, Phillip Lim, Creatures of the Wind, and Proenza Schouler, and just like every year, there were tons of gorgeous supermodels in attendance to show their support. Many went as the dates of the designers who dressed them such as Constance Jablonski with Olivier Theyskens, Lauren Hutton with the Olsens, and Joan Smalls with Michael Kors.
