Our obsession with fashion campaign films began with that charming little Lanvin dance flick featuring the hip-swinging Karen Elson and Raquel Zimmermann for autumn/winter 2011. Progressing from cute commercials to full-on studio productions, these campaign videos have sparked a whole new trend among the top fashion houses- Dior included!
Following their hit five-part mini-series featuring Marion Cottilard as ‘L.Ady Dior,’ the brand took to St. Tropez beach to cast Daphne Groeneveld in a tribute to Brigitte Bardot’s classic ‘And God Created Woman’ for their latest cinema spectacular. The impossibly sweet short film created for Dior Addict had all of us at Modelinia giddy with excitement as the pouty Dutch supermodel pranced around the vintage seaside town to the catchy tune of Stereo Total’s “I Love You, Ono”- Cha, Cha! From soaking up the sun in 50’s pinup attire, to twirling around the cafè in a flirty skirt- those Paris boys don’t stand a chance. Daphne makes for one good Bardot!
