The last night of Fashion Week drew models, editors, and celebrities of all sorts to the New York Public Library to celebrate Ann Taylor’s new “See Now, Wear Now” collection. The iconic brand, once solely the go-to for interview attire and office ensembles, came full force with a smart, sexy, youthful collection by new designer Lisa Axelson, that effortlessly mixed classic and modern.
When the show started, all eyes were on the clothes and—of course—our eyes were on the models! Ann Taylor delivered a blue-chip lineup of girls, including Alana Zimmer, Aline Weber, Ali Stephens, Bruna Tenorio, and Du Juan, all of whom stomped it out to an energetic soundtrack featuring M.I.A.
Model, actress, and Rachel Zoe regular Joy Bryant sat front-row alongside Mena Suvari and Amanda Bynes, who confessed she would wear everything on the runway. And once we saw the models strutting in the new designs, well, we agreed that we would wear it all, too. After the show, Modelinia caught rising star Aminata Niaria rushing through Grand Central Station. It is a recession, people. See you in London! ~ Tim Mitchell
