Given the world’s current obsession with the Internet and information, it’s impossible to keep a secret. One person tells another, then the juicy tidbit lands on a blog, and all of the sudden everyone knows.
So could the filming outside, in complete and total view of the public be fashion’s answer to this? We all know that designers and editors have embraced Twitter, and Fashion Week is now a 24/7 feed of information from the Tents and parties.
But with the onslaught of information, comes the need to get a little bit crafty. Just last week, Karl Lagerfeld set up a massive free for all during his campaign shot for Chanel with Abbey Lee Kershaw and Freja Beha Erichsen, and now Karmen Pedaru was spotted posing for Emporio Armani.
Is this the designers way of taking back the power?
