It’s Bar Refaeli’s week, if not her month. Not only does she have the cover of the 46th-annual Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, but she’ll be emblazoned on the side of a Southwest Airlines jet used to transport VIPs to its launch party in Las Vegas. The Israeli model donned Missoni for the SI cover, which was chosen out of 90,000 images. The cover, shot by Raphael Mazzucco on Canouan Island in the Grenadines, was shown for the first time last night in Times Square during the “Late Show with David Letterman.” While the rest of the world found out on national television, Bar’s agents surprised her at the office with cameras and a huge poster. And if all that’s not enough, according to Time magazine, Bar’s just signed on to be a part of MTV’s “House of Style.” Phew.
Here are some snippets from Monday night’s IMG Girls of Sports Illustrated 2009 event — so you can pretend you were there, too.

“I was screaming. I was in the street on the phone with my booker and I was just screaming alone. I was going crazy. I couldn’t believe it! They make every single girl look the most beautiful she can ever be.”
Hilary Rhoda
“When my agent first told me it was like, you might be doing it… I was like okay, I don’t want to get too excited. Maybe I won’t so, I was just kind of holding back, and then when I realized that I got it, I was so excited. I started working with a trainer in September six days a week. I hadn’t worked out in a while so it was nice to get back into that, and I’m still working with my trainer all the time.”
Tori Praver
“It’s an honor, it’s my third year and it’s just as exciting this year as it was the first. It’s so much fun.”
Jessica Gomes
“I love how it’s all about the girls, the curves and the bikinis. I ate steamed chicken and broccoli and trained my ass off. I just try to chill out and do the best I can. A lot of pilates and a lot of water.”
