The Top Five Beauty Trends From the 2013 Golden Globes
Last night’s Golden Globes red carpet brought some of the season’s greatest beauty trends. For one, we’ve never seen so many au natural looks at an awards show before. From bright lips to the subtle cat-eye, loose waves to side-parts we can’t get enough of last night’s gorgeous looks. We have rounded up our Top Five beauty trends both inspired by the Spring runways and perfect looks to try in the year ahead. Check out our picks below!
1.) Au Natural: We saw a lot of au natural beauty looks on the red carpet, but no one mastered the fresh-faced blonde moment quite like Les Miserables‘ Amanda Seyfried and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Their barely there makeup, either paired with wavy locks like Amanda’s or straight like Rosie’s, proved that for these beauties, less is more!
2.) Bright Lips: We were so excited to see some bright lipsticks among a sea of natural shades on the red carpet. Best Actress in a Drama winner, Jessica Chastain, paired her golden auburn locks with a delicious berry lip- only a few hues short of our favorite model-approved wine lip trend! Presenter, Jessica Alba, looked stunning overall, but her orange lip and heavy lashes were the perfect beauty combo.
3.) Tidal Wave: Leave it to a couple of our favorite models, Barbara Palvin and Heidi Klum, to come away with the winning hair look of the night! Long, loose romantic one-sided waves look absolutely gorgeous on the girls. It was the perfect mix of elegance and youth and put all those up-dos to shame!
4.) Pretty in Pink: Valentines’ Day came early last night when actresses Megan Fox and Emily Blunt paired understated makeup with stunning pink jeweled earrings. Light pink lips with a little bit of blush was the perfect combination to allow those gems to shine! We especially loved Megan’s oxblood nails, reminding us of the very same shade Prabal Gurung used in his Spring 2013 show.
5.) Catwoman: Our favorite brunette darlings and Golden Globe nominees Marion Cotillard and Zooey Deschanel brought classic sophistication last night with the subtle cat eye. These natural beauties prove that sometimes all you need is a good eyeliner and a smile.
