When Modelinia found out that Behati Prinsloo would host the Victoria’s Secret Pink Nation event at the Bloomington campus of Indiana University, complete with performances by Girl Talk and Cobra Starship, we were beyond depressed we couldn’t attend. So why not share the Modelinia love? We invited one special writer and student, Carly Bassen, to cover the event as a Modelinia guest blogger. Read all about her experience interviewing Behati and enjoying the Pink-ed out celebration!

As autumn leaves at Indiana University in Bloomington change to orange, red, and yellow, Behati Prinsloo introduced a different hue to the campus: pink! A competition between five universities brought Victoria’s Secret Pink Nation to IU. It was impossible not to notice the field, usually used for playing frisbee, conquered by a stage roaring with good girls going bad to Cobra Starship topped off with Girl Talk’s mixed jams.
Student’s midterm stresses were relieved by playing cornhole and tossing footballs into big pink tires that may have cost Barbie a dream car. Clothing was donated to benefit the Middle Way House, and charitable students were rewarded with VS Pink prizes.

A dry-erase wall invited everyone to express their hopes—from dancing onstage to finding a cure for breast cancer. While a variety of festivities were on display, the crowd—dressed in VS fashion apparel—found it most important to rock out.
Besides celebrating with a live performance and fun events, the Collegiate Collection hosted a Pink-ified pop-up shop featuring the event’s limited-edition T-shirt. Behati’s favorite Pink items? Deliciously comfy and cute sweats.

In matching IU T-shirts, hosts Behati and Whitney Port warmed up the audience to cheer on the oncoming bands. Jumbo screens on both sides of the stage displayed Behati dressed in VS Pink while she playfully propped IU with love.

Behati said VS Pink is like her little family and her experiences working with the other models provides allover fun. Behati gushed to us that she loved being host at the B-town bash and that IU was her favorite school that she has toured yet. Go IU! ~ Carly Bassen
