Behati Prinsloo Paints the Town Pink

Even though it was gray and rainy outside, Saturday was totally PINK for Modelinia, as we spent the day with Behati Prinsloo celebrating the opening of Victoria’s Secret first premier PINK store in SoHo. Looking as cute as ever in a little denim dress topped with a sweatshirt and cropped jacket - all from the label’s spring collection - Behati was loving her new bright look. “I’m usually more of a rocker when it comes to my style, but it’s about PINK today, so I wanted to be a bit girly and flirty.” She even added hot pink laces to her ankle boots to match her sweatshirt.

Just back from Key West, where she showed off the collection of bikinis she designed for PINK, Behati greeted shoppers who waited hours outside in the rain to get a first look at the super cute store decked out with stuffed PINK dog mascots, shiny bicycles, and loads of sugary sweets like gumballs. “I’m so excited about the swim collection! We came up with the idea of Africa being the inspiration, since I am from there. But I wanted to make it very fun. There are four bikinis and some cover-ups in the line and everything has a bit of African inspiration. It’s not just the old animal print look. There’s a tiger on one, and little shells on the strings on another. Lots of cool details – I am really excited.” Fellow model and BFF Coco Rocha even stopped by to check out the store.

PINK also debuted their special edition Mets and Yankees apparel, made especially for the New York store. What’s Behati’s preference? “Yankees!” ~ Fabiana Santana
