Cotton candy, ball gowns and our favorite models… are we dreaming? Bergdorf Goodman feted its 111th anniversary with a knock out crowd of designers and their model muses last night at New York City’s Plaza Hotel. While miniature cotton candy treats were passed around, guests danced the night away to the retro sounds of ’80s tribute band Rubix Cube, and mingled under the fluffy cotton clouds that decorated the ballroom which had been converted into an oversized replica of the retailer’s famed store windows. And, did we mention the 5-foot tall cake they were serving?
But, the sweetest part of the evening had to have been the phenomenal red carpet looks worn by the many models in attendance including Carolyn Murphy, Jessica Stam, and Hanne Gaby Odiele. Coco Rocha— who was Zac Posen’s date for the evening— slipped into a show stopping one-shouldered crimson gown, which she paired with a gold clutch and a matching red lip. Erin Heatherton looked polished standing next to Jason Wu in one of the designer’s sheer navy blue gowns, while Karolina Kurkova went for a bold blue and white paisley printed trouser suit from Roberto Cavalli’s Resort 2013 collection.
