There are definitely times when we’ve fallen in love with a runway look only to realize its lack of versatility off the runway. This was not the case at Yigal Azrouël’s spring 2012 collection yesterday as we found ourselves coveting each and every look coming down the catwalk. Newcomer Ruby-Jean Wilson opened the show in a sleek camel shirtdress and structured white blazer topped off with Hollywood style oversized circular shades. The neutral hues continued until Kristy Kaurova appeared wearing a pair of electric blue palazzo trousers and a cropped tan blouse. The beautiful Bo Don later took the runway clad in a tomato red suit and was later followed by Kelsey van Mook in a grey ensemble that put a modern spin on the everyday, work-appropriate suit. Alyona Subbotina closed the show in a polished, sexy black dress that looked as if it could have been designed for the newcomer model. We always consider it the cherry on top when the clothes are equally as fabulous as the models, and Yigal Azrouël’s show was certainly one to remember.
