When the morning begins with coffee and a breakfast tour of the brand-new beauty floor at Bloomingdale’s, you know it’s going to be a good day.
Bright and early, fashion insiders headed to the store on 59th Street and Lexington for an introduction to the massive space. An orchestra welcomed guests, along with yellow ribbon dancers. “I said to my little one, ‘I know how you felt before the first day of school,’” exclaimed Michael Gould, chairman and CEO of Bloomingdale’s, as he officially welcomed guests to the massive space. “The passion that this industry has always amazed me. But the passion this industry had for this project astounded me.”
And the passion was evident as smiles were contagious. Modelinia, of course, was transfixed by the massive beauty ad campaigns, featuring some of our girls: Hilary Rhoda for Estée Lauder, Daria Werbowy for Lancôme, and full runway films from Dior. You’ll walk into the store and end up spending hours at the counters between the gorgeous displays and models staring down at you.
