Victoria’s Secret model Candice Swanepoel seems to have her hands full this fall with two new designer ad campaigns!
Earlier this week, the Angel appeared in the very ladylike Oscar de la Renta Fall ads alongside fellow top model Katryn Kruger. In swirling organza gowns and delicate candy-colored frocks, Candice appeared prim and proper in the campaign shot by Craig McDean and styled by Alex White.
When it came time to pose for Brian Atwood’s first ad campaign though, the South African beauty channeled her darker, slightly more devilish side. Surrounded by some chiseled young men, the leggy model turned vixen with a black corset, garter stockings, and lets we not forget those killer thigh high boots! Paired with her blood-red lips, photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott captured one seductive scene for Fall.
The newly released ads are just the beginning of Atwood’s vampy campaign though, as the footwear designer plans to release “a series of sexually charged short films” that will launch on The Vault, an invite-only section of Atwood’s recently renovated website. According to WWD, the films took their inspiration from the designer’s theme of “sex is in the heel”- just ask Candice about that one.
“The Vault has the craziest, most exuberant, exaggerated designs- like python thigh highs,” stated Atwood. “I wanted to make something really special. It’s all about making a woman desire that shoe more than anything. If she didn’t get it, I want her to not be able to stop thinking about it and go get it the next day. I always say my job is done when a woman can’t stop looking at her feet.”
We don’t want to speak for everyone, but with those sexy boots and Candice’s drop-dead gorgeous gaze, we’d say the footwear star got it right on the first try with this campaign!
