Last night, the British Fashion Council hosted an event at the Savoy Hotel to announce this year’s nominees for the British Fashion Awards. Since 1989, the event has celebrated the creativity and success of British fashion and design, including emerging design talents, fashion superstars, and style icons. Now, don’t get us wrong. We love our fashion here at Modelinia, but it’s the “Model of the Year” award that we truly have our eye on!
The BFC honor — which celebrates the British model “who has contributed most to the international fashion scene in the past year,” — has named models Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn, and David Grandy as this year’s nominees, following Stella Tennant’s big win last year. Although Cara and Jourdan will be going to head-to-head at the ceremony, the two models have actually made quite the team so far this year for Burberry’s latest beauty campaign. The modeling duo have also previously been named two of the “faces to watch” by Vogue in 2011, which makes this decision all the harder!
Good luck to this year’s panel of judges in picking just one of these British beauties for the final prize. See who takes home the prize at this year’s ceremony on November 27th!
