How will you live all weekend without our model updates? Luckily, House of Style premieres this Saturday, at 3 p.m. EST on MTV, with host Bar Refaeli and correspondent Chanel Iman, so there’s a model fix for you. Hopefully MTV has some hidden scenes because a ton of details have already been leaked on the Internet. Bar will list the Top Ten Most Wanted Trends (from jelly shoes to friendship bracelets), talk to Taylor Swift about fashion, go shopping in Jessica Stam’s closet, and go behind the scenes at the William Rast show with Justin Timberlake.
On top of that, Chanel will take viewers to a dinner party for Erin Fetherston. Did you notice that Chanel’s wearing the hat that Erin’s fiancé, Hedi Ferjani, designed for the models to wear in the Fall ’09 show? Chanel wasn’t in the show, so she either fell in love with the little masks or has been playing in Erin’s studio.
This isn’t the last we’ll see of Chanel on the screen instead of on the runway. Her Gossip Girl appearance is yet to come, and she let it slip that she’s looking to do more in the acting world. “I’m thinking of slowing down on modeling and branching out to other things,” she told Teen Vogue. “I want to pursue some new and old dreams and start making them happen. House of Style is definitely just the start. I want to do television, film, music, and designing. I want to do it all!”
At least in the model world, we can hopefully look forward to her appearance with Jason Wu at the Met!
