Chanel Iman Turns West Virginia University Pink

Chanel and the WVU Mountaineer

Victoria’s Secret Pink took over the West Viriginia University campus on Thursday afternoon, with a special performance from Drake and an appearance from VS Pink model, Chanel Iman to celebrate Pink Nation. Though Modelinia couldn’t trek to the rocky mountains, we sent a very special reporter - Modelinia’s little brother who’s currently a freshman at WVU! Prepped with questions for Chanel and a friend in tow, Nick Posterli took on the role of Modelinia corespondent and hung out with Chanel in VIP before St. Francis Field was taken over by the entire WVU population for a concert by Drake and tailgate party, complete with VS Pink goodies and games.

Though she was sporting WVU attire in blue and gold, Chanel has a New York style team spirit at heart. “I like the Jets! I think a cool bar is really fun atmosphere to watch a football game, but I love to relax at home in my VS boxer briefs with junk food and loads of friends.”

Chanel got in the college spirit for the afternoon and tried her hand at the tailgate games, including a small game of pass with WVU’s mascot, the Mountaineer. “It’s such a beautiful campus. I’m really admiring the little trolly things - I wish we had them in LA - and the Mountaineer is awesome!” Students had the chance to hang out at the VS Pink pop-up shop, which sold the event’s limited edition tee, play football toss and cornhole, and snag a VS Pink freebie after donating one toiletry item to a local charity.

Looking forward to her upcoming moment on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway, Chanel said, “I’m excited to just be a part of the show! It’s my second year so I’m excited for my first pair of wings which I’m pushing for!”

Along with their Pink Nation initiatives, Victoria’s Secret Pink just launched Style U, a dedicated section of the website which features college girls from around the world showing off their personal style. Viewers can vote on their favorite looks and collaborators battle for a position in the Most Loved School section!
