Thursday night, Chanel Iman and Veronica Webb took the stage at the 3rd Annual St. Jude’s Design Cares event, called “Kaleidoscope of Dreams,” to present a runway show with frocks donated by Saks Fifth Avenue. “How could you not be involved?” said Veronica. “Everyone we know is involved with cancer in some way. And now being a mother, the idea of cancer in children is so much more touching to me. One thing I’ve learned in fashion is to be giving and to give back.”
The evening also boasted a silent auction to support the research hospital, as well as making two little girls dream of becoming a fashion designer come true, thanks to the craft of Christian Siriano. Along the perimeter of the event, different local restaurants including STK, Sushi Samba, and Table 8 offered their delicacies for guests.
Meanwhile, Modelinia just had to ask about the impending event of the season. Though Veronica won’t be attending the party (she had previous plans), she swooned over two of her icons, crediting, ”Pat Cleveland and Iman! [Iman] was the beginning of my time so she taught me a lot.” And what will Chanel be wearing for the huge Costume Institute? “I’m not telling you. It’s one of those day-of. I’m going to look spectacular, though. I’m excited to see what everyone else is wearing!” We are too, Chanel. We are too.
