The breezy end of summer on the rooftop of the Soho House was the ideal setting for Cindy Crawford to launch her Cindy Crawford Style collection for JCPenney. Flat-screen TVs played commercials for the collection on repeat, but all you had to do was take a look around to experience it. Much of the decor—from the super soft throws to the elegant pillows—was CCStyle.
The host was, of course, the gorgeous Cindy Crawford—a supermodel among mortals. Clad in Blumarine and impossibly fresh and glowing (she’d flown in from L.A. just a few hours earlier), Cindy was sad she missed seeing her children off on their first day of school, but as soon as talk of her new home-furnishings line came up, she perked up. She described the aesthetic as traditional, but “not your mother’s tradition,” borrowing inspiration from all aspects of her glamorous life—from working with fashion designers to photographers to life in Malibu with her husband and children. “My vision is how to take personal style to translate it into your home.” With the totally affordable price points—we’re coveting a throw that’s on sale for $29.99—everyone can take a piece of Cindy’s style home.
With all the talk of shopping, many asked Cindy what her plans are for Fashion’s Night Out. “I’m going to be at JCPenney, then going to Roberto Cavalli. He’s a friend.” Ahh, the life of a super. ~ Nikki Martinez
