Cindy Crawford's No-Coaster Interior Design Style

What’s a good reason for a trek uptown? Supermodel Cindy Crawford.

On Tuesday night, Modelinia ventured to Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center to get a sneak peek at the new collections by the Olsen twins, Charlotte Ronson, Nicole Miller, and Cindy for JCPenney.

Upon walking down the steps into the hall, we were immediately distracted by displays featuring Cindy’s new styles, and with the perfect summer patio feel, all we can imagine is sitting in the warm weather, hosting a dinner party with supermodel approved home goods.

On the inside, fashion insiders mingled before the runway show began, and we caught up with Cindy to chat about her JCPenney collaboration. “For me, it’s just being able to combine my love of design with being a woman who has a family,” she said. “I love decorating, I love style, and bringing that all together in this line. We always say we’re a no-coaster household, so I don’t want it to be like, oh thats the living room, we never go in there. You want your house to smell good, for things to be soft, when you want to sit dow, there’s a place to put your cup of tea. It’s appealing to all of the senses, not just visual, and to really reflect you as a person. That’s why everyone’s house should look different. There is no cookie cutter formula for that.”

While new looks from the designers stomped down the runway, Modelinia ran into Heather Marks, showing off her shorter locks, who has been absent from the catwalk - with the exception of course of Naomi Campbell’s Fashion for Relief event. “I’ve been busy working, not doing shows, but just working instead.” Don’t look for her in Paris either, as she’s taking a well-deserved breather! And with the “model turned” trend so quickly becoming a must-discuss topic, we just had to ask what secrets she has for her future. For Heather, it’s all about doing good for others. “I like doing charity work where we can pull fashion into that. I’ve done stuff where we did like shelter the homeless or like all the girls group together and they do a project like building a school.” Time to create a Habitat for Humanity, model version?
