It’s a terrible statistic, but the majority of the world has been touched by cancer in one way or another, directly or indirectly … even supermodels.
As a way to reach the world while working towards change, Cindy Crawford is taking a stand against cancer. The supermodel lent her famous face to the fight against the disease as part of the Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) effort by starring in the newest SU2C PSA. She joins fellow supermodel Heidi Klum, who also recently took the time to pose for SU2C in their noteworthy hoodie.
Seeing as May is Skin Cancer Awareness month, Cindy is encouraging everyone to not only use SPF on a daily basis, but also take an active interest in their skin care health by getting screened for skin cancer. She’s personally attached to the cause, as her brother had Leukemia and her sister was recently diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer.
“Cancer in the past was a death sentence, and there’s been so much progress that it isn’t anymore,” said Cindy, “but there’s still more work to do and that’s why we’re here.”
