Classical Elegance at DKNY

We’ve undoubtedly been to a lot of shows this week, but today at DKNY we were treated to something special. While rubbing shoulders with Bryan Boy, Nina Garcia and Ashely Greene, we snacked on Karlie’s Kookies as we waited for the show to start (did you see us? it was live streamed!). With the typical New York-centric backdrop, the show began with crisp, white menswear-inspired suits and feminine dresses that were definitely pre-order worthy. In fact, DKNY had a little bit of everything we are excited about for spring: denim (high-waisted pants and the elegant chambray top), bold colors, maxi dresses and metallic finishes (we swooned over the metallic pencil skirt). As a whole, the entire collection had a sporty-chic element that could not be denied, with fanny packs, wedge sneakers and structured baseball caps as the cornerstones. Pops of color were prevalent as well in bright yellow gowns, blouses and an amazing jacket that Donna herself even donned post-show. The collection was expertly worn by some of our favorite girls - including Jasmine Tookes, Andie Arthur and Cara Delevingne.

The collection was truly for the woman on the go as any of the looks that came down the runway would translate beautifully into everyday life, and, like Donna herself, the collection was undeniably chic and casually elegant.
