Claudia Bids Goodbye to the Runway

While some supers are returning to the runway—Naomi Campbell and Natalia Vodianova—there is one model we won’t see walk another catwalk: Claudia Schiffer.

“I am finished with the runway,” she said. “I won’t miss it. I am still modeling and I enjoy that a lot, but no more runways. I can sit on the side and view the outfits and see all the detail and that suits me fine. It’s very enjoyable. I like my new viewpoint.”

Though we’re more than slightly depressed by this admission, Modelinia understands. Claudia is still fronting campaigns like her new fragrance ad with Alberta Ferretti, so it’s not like the world is devoid of Claudia.
