Phillip Lim gave us something a little different than his usual abstract silhouettes and complicated fabrics this season. Made up of a surprisingly crisp and cool color palette, the 3.1 Phillip Lim collection featured seamless, silky looks that appeared equally as comfortable as they did chic.
Newcomer Caterina Ravaglia opened the show in a pale three-piece ensemble comprised of orange sherbet pants, a mint green jacket, and a soft violet tank top. Fashion Week regulars Hanne Gaby Odiele, Frida Gustavsson, and Jac also walked in the playfully sweet show that drifted away from the popular trends we’ve seen this week, featuring hardly any prints, florals and/or color-blocking. One of the standout pieces was the streamer-like cut-out jumpsuit that was a necessary avant garde look to remind us that this was in fact a Phillip Lim collection. Jac closed the show in a baby pink blouse, loose-fitting white shorts and a structured lengthy structured leather vest that we can imagine wearing year round.
