Couture Week Fall 2012: Who To Expect In Paris

The Paris Haute Couture shows never cease to amaze with their masterful artistry, and larger-than life concepts.  Equal parts avant-garde and luxurious beauty, the couture shows provide solid evidence of what fashion is made of even at times of economic struggles.  The January spring couture collections took us on a journey through various eras of otherworldly beauty and extravagance from Dior’s saccharine organza confections that paid homage to the house’s famed 1947 “New Look,” to Chanel’s heavily-staged presentation inside a 60’s inspired jetliner, to Versace’s triumphant return with ultra-sexy, shimmery gowns.

Just as exciting as the clothes though are the famous faces that get to take part in all the glitz that Paris has to offer.  Spring’s shows brought us a good helping of runway favorites including Frida Gustavsson, Lindsey Wixson, and Sigrid Agren, not to mention a few stellar appearances by fashion’s latest rising star Karlie Kloss.  With Dolce & Gabbana adding their name to the couture bill for fall, we can hardly wait to see what next week’s couture collections will bring us and what beautiful ladies will present this season.  With a few days still to go until the unveiling of the top fashion houses’ latest one-of-a-kind creations, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite models from the spring shows who we expect to grace the catwalks come Sunday.  J’adore couture!
