Vogue, you’ve amazed us again.
The glossy not only featured Christy Turlington in their annual Age issue, but she’s gracing the cover as well in all of her supermodel glory. Annie Leibovitz captured Christy, who discusses her studies inside by saying, “Now I’m 40 and getting this degree I might be on the cusp of the career I always wanted.” This is the second year in a row that Vogue has chosen a model to front the Age issue, as Kate Moss posed for Mario Testino in 2008.
Vogue Portugal fell under the Heidi Klum love affair as well, as the magazine chose to reuse an image by Francesco Carrozzini for their August ‘09 issue that originally appeared in the all-Heidi June ‘09 issue of Vogue Deutsch.
Another international issue is on the model train too, as Sigrid Agren goes tribal in prints for the August ‘09 issue of Chinese Vogue, shot by Terry Tsiolis, to pair with an editorial called “C’est Chic.” Du Juan is featured in an editorial called “The Name of China,” Anna Selezneva shows off her skin in “Be a Skin Diva,” and Eniko Mihalik appears in “Scientific Glamour.”
And finally, Bianca Balti followed in Lily Cole’s footsteps by posing for the June/July cover of French Playboy—which could rival the Pirelli calendar in sexiness. Greg Lotus snapped the ’80s-looking shot, capturing Bianca in soft lighting for a true vintage effect.
