Cover Watch continues, with Harper’s Bazaar April 2009 issue. Gisele Bundchen graces the cover in Louis Vuitton, shot by Peter Lindbergh. The inside interview includes info on Tom Brady and how she’s ready for marriage, (obviously, as she just wed) her title as a supermodel and how it makes her feel, and her beginnings in Horizontina, Brazil. Her inside editorial, is really what we’re obsessed with, though. For the annual Fabulous at Every Age issue, she transforms herself into different muses from the eras, from the ’50s to today. Those muses include Veruschka, Lauren Hutton, Twiggy, Penelope Tree, Jerry Hall, Brooke Shields, and of course, herself. The magazine asked Gisele just how it felt to change into these beauties. See her quotes and the images below.
Veruschka: “She knew how to move and had a really strong face. Not too perfect, but gorgeous, and she made it look effortless.”
Lauren Hutton: “She’s one of my favorite people in the industry. I don’t know anyone who is more authentic than her. She’s not just beautiful, she’s got a soul.”
Jerry Hall: “I always think of her as Jessica Rabbit. She’s sexy, she’s beautiful, but very doll-like—very perfect features but with big hair like Rapunzel.”
Penelope Tree: “She looked like she was hiding, like she was shy. She gave the minimum and didn’t open herself up. There was a distance, but maybe that was the era; maybe that’s how women felt.”
Brooke Shields: “She looks so innocent, but she is doing sexy poses. Her face says one thing, but her body says something else.”
