The May 2009 Cover Watch is underway.
Already Eniko Mihalik is on the cover of Japanese Vogue, Gisele Bundchen is on the cover of Vanity Fair, and there’s the impressive Vogue cover to wait for on newsstands. Chanel Iman does double duty this May, on the cover of i-D’s DIY issue, by Kayt Jones and Lula’s #8 Spring/Summer 2009 issue. New face Rosie Tupper earned the cover of Australian Vogue, which has an inside editorial of Abbey Lee Kershaw, giving a nod to the ’60s and Brigitte Bardot. While her daughter is moving into the modeling world, Yasmin Le Bon isn’t leaving, as she’s on the cover of Wonderland, by Simon Thiselton, and Isabeli Fontana dressed in Dolce & Gabbana for the cover of Tokyo Numéro. And finally, though it’s not really a fashion magazine, Tar shows off a painting by Damien Hirst of Kate Moss from W’s March 2005 cover shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, looking a little creepy and scientific.
