Though the June 2009 issue of W doesn’t have a model on the cover, we forgive them. Because Craig McDean worked his power and amassed 30 pages of editorial titled “100% Fashion,” featuring the best new faces of the season. That list includes: Jourdan Dunn, Dorothea Barth Jorgensen, Imogen Morris Clarke, Karlie Kloss, Madisyn Ritland, Sigrid Agren, Bara Holotova, Nimue Smit, Amanda Laine, Ranya Mordanova, Rose Cordero, Karolin Wolter, and Viktoriya Sosonkina.
Most shots were paired with one specific designer, though there are five with multiple. For some designer examples, Nina Ricci looks are modeled by Karlie and Sigrid, Balenciaga is solely Karlie, while Ranya and Madisyn show off Dior. Unfortunately a few girls didn’t make the cut, including Sessilee Lopez, Anna Jagodzinska, Mina Cvetkovic, and Tao Okamoto, but this issue is heavy in model-focused pages, so we’re still pleased.
