We are beyond envious of Alek Wek for so many reasons, but most recently for her collaboration with De Beers’ new diamond brand, Forevermark. Alek designed a diamond necklace and brooch (she calls it Rose Waterfalls) made out of 20,000 diamonds, that weighs 168 carats. And never fear, the stones are all conflict-free diamonds, and bear a unique ID number. “Stones are from the ground, so I wanted to choose nature as my theme — the necklace is inspired by roses, waterfalls, rocks and hills,” Alek told WWD. “I wanted to make a piece that was realistic, something I could wear.” The swoon-worthy creation was shown off for the first time in Hong Kong on Tuesday, but will head over here at some point. We’ll be there to stare, for sure.
