So first there was drama about the new Calvin Klein Jeans ad, which was dropped from television because it was too racy, showing models clad in jeans (and only jeans) posing oh so provocatively on a couch. The image in question was shot by Steven Meisel and starred Anna Jagodzinksa, as well as Anna Selezneva, Edita Vilkeviciute, Natasha Poly, and Naty Chabanenko. It briefly took up residence in the form of a monster-size billboard at Houston and Lafayette streets in New York. It wasn’t long before it was taken down, claiming New Yorkers and tourists were offended by it’s subject.
It’s now been replaced by another Calvin Klein ad, featuring Doutzen Kroes in a red bikini. Apparently the move was planned before the drama ensued, and Doutzen couldn’t be happier about her giant image looking over Houston Street.
